 The Emerald Pool

From the Port of arrival, your first visit is  to Morne Bruce from where you enjoy the dominating view overlooking the Capital, Roseau.

Next, you enter the Botanical Gardens to view some of the Island’s oldest trees species including the "Baobab" which remains lying on top of a crushed school bus since Hurricane David struck in August 1979. You get to see the island’s parrots, the "Jaco" and the National Bird, the "Sisserou" parrot. See also the National Tree, the "Bois Kwaib".

Your tour continues across the countryside traveling upmountain to arrive in the Trois Piton Rain Forest Reserve. You will discover the Rain- forest Reserve by walking the looping trail to get to the Emerald Pool fed by a 20 ft. Waterfall. The water is most often crystal clear and a dip in the pool can be quite refreshing for persons wishing to experience the rainforest water. You continue down the Layou road across the village of Warner past the West Coast villages of Mahaut and Massacre, Canefield Airport as well and unto the dock for drop off at your ship.
